Today Dignity have released a new whitepaper, which lays out their view on the future of regulation within our industry.
Dignity’s research very much highlights the importance of FPA registration, as the poor behaviour and malpractice which is negatively impacting customers comes from a small number of providers who are not registered with us.
Our message has always been very clear. Customers and funeral directors should only be working with FPA registered providers. Doing so gives them the reassurance that the provider in question has voluntarily undergone additional scrutiny and is operating to a high standard in terms of their sales and investment practices, and in relation to how they treat their customers.
We welcome Dignity’s input into the FPA’s Rules review. This will be closely considered, along with other input we’ve received from the market, when we move to a formal consultation on how our Rules should be developed.
